Kagan – Silence, Nomination & The Supreme Court

The Nomination process for the opening created by the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens is now upon us.  I am of the wonder if Americans truly realize the importance of this process and how sadly the event and ultimate selection is nothing but an amalgamation of political extremes. That is to say, “extremes” which are, by their very nature, in conflict with the truer sense of Justice this Court is charged to preserve – the very mandate evidentiary of your Freedom & Liberty.

Civilian, Military & Conflict

It is somewhat serendipitous that the blunders of General Stanley McCrystal should surface at the present time.  As a point of interest, they are profoundly emblematic of this Country’s internal conflicts both as to form and function.  We have lost our National sense of clarity as to both of these, that is, as to form and function.  In other words,  what is our form of government and to what extent is it intended to function.

Thomas Jefferson, in his first inaugural address (1801) may provide a bit of understanding on the subject:

Dr. Paul Krugman – Theory & Lustre Lost!

The following entry is actually a posting a placed in response to Dr. Krugman’s NYT artical entitle “Against the Super-Asinine….”  I thought it was sufficiently relevant that I believe you might find it of value too – so here it is:

“Dr. Paul,  the only consensus in “macro” is the incongruent thought equal to the belief that one can find clarity in murky and whimsical waters.

WiNiP – The New American Slave-Class v6.1a

What I Noticed in Passing….

Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s entry:

slave: \slāv\- 1 : a person held in servitude as the chattel of another. 2 : one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence.

I suspect one might think this to be a rather peculiar approach to introducing a topic, wrought with divisive overtones, lurid and “hands-off”!  Sit and pause for moment, look at your nation’s political and economic landscape and then, just perhaps, reconsider.

Better still, let me temp you with a few of my own observations to seed your considerations;

Chinese Yuan, the Device of Currency

The impact of “policy” on the rights and ambitions of Folks who would otherwise – and quite simply so – pursue the functions of their daily lives, unimpeded by the impositions of impulse abstract influences, is continuously under assault.

“The single object of sound government lies in the service of preserving the unalienability of man and his providential rights.”

“Abstract Influences” threaten the “service” of this purpose by the crafting of spurious dialogue masking their true intent. Near countless examples exist from which to choose to illustrate the various forms, let’s focus on just one.
