Indexing Minimum Wage

Having addressed the issue in previous posts, there remains an additional component that merits consideration: Market value (however not in the manner one might think.) The great contest that yet remains to be resolved is how to address the implicit value represented by access-to-market. In the nation-state as it is enterprise (most typically multinationals) views the American marketplace as a crop to be harvested and the workforce as fertilizer.

Prologue – State of the Union

Well the delivery was well rehearsed charisma and not nearly as openly divisive as anticipated and yet, in some ways, I couldn’t help but sense that I was watching a Man attempting to avoid two quickly approaching conclusions:

  1. Although he knows it he has not yet fully come to grips with the simple truth that the Public has turned against him as has his political capital.
  2. The best of all options before him revolves around avoiding moves that drives the 2014 Mid-term outcome towards the Republicans. Still unwavering in his far-left-of-center leadership form and self-affirmed in his never-to-move-center stand he did speak to an understanding that few can reject:

State of the Union – A Treatise of Justifications

Americans have come to expect the abuse-of-conflict as a mainstay in the animated culture-of-adversity era where a nation, under the toxic influence of self-loathing airs, preys upon itself. Although clearly not its single source, the Obama Administrations feeds its own (self-loathing) and propagates further hunger with a perverse and preferential form of division so efficiently precise it has become an integral justification for “Why?” and the manner in which this President and his key players operate as they do.

Imperial Presidency Licensed by Congress

It is absolutely true that the Obama Administration, more than any previous administration, has set new standards of tyrannical-excess in large part due to the activist-anarchist nature of the President and his staff. With that said there remains one significant feature that accommodates executive-abuse and that is the concept of “enabling legislation.” When most bills are passed thru Congress they are merely conceptual in nature and quite non-specific. The details of enacting the intent of the bill/act is accomplished thru language that defers action to a named bureaucracy who is enabled, by the very same bill/act, to create the organisms and regulations (as necessary) to carry out their interpretation of the bill/acts intent.
