Pope Francis’ Obama’s Ally of Church & State!

Do you find it a bit ironic that while the President has championed various policy issues impugning the sanctity of faith he has no issue using the Church to advance his own political theology? Has the President now decided to abandon his secular theology, Neo-Ism of State that the Public has been told to believe is the hallmark of a sturdy and enduring democracy? Further, given that Pope Francis has seemingly set aside evangelizing “the word”, has he now become an emissary of Leftist-Activism?

Governor Walker’s Ride On the GOP Roulette

While Rudy Giuliani will tell you that local success won’t give you national appeal, George “W” illustrates how deep pockets can buy you a Presidency. Somewhere in the middle of all this is the core of a much needed indictment of presidential politics; Issues vs. Money, Hype vs. Substance.

The shape of presidential politics is a wound of Party-Politics own making and of a Publics submission to it. The acceptance of a structure that allows for building a platform of glitter driven solely to a media-complex whose allegiance is to ratings and the data-push of polling data that cycles back to Campaign H.Q. for just-in-time platform re-configuration. The deeper your pockets the better your Political Apparatus (Campaign structure) and the better your chances are of polling plus-positive and as Hillary’s standing proves, you can survive the worst of it so long as you don’t run out of money!

Shallow Outrage Over Muslim Obama Comment

Face it, election-politics are as civil as a knife-fight and generally a substantive as a glazed doughnut. Americans by now should be keenly aware, whether you like him or not, that the rush to assault Trump for being unwilling to push-back against an audience comment (regarding Obama being Muslim) strikes the bell of synthetic-rage particularly as its being driven by Media forces and Political Hacks.

Regardless of what the President may claim to be his faith of choice remains largely irrelevant as are the comments made by the individual at Trumps rally or the manner in which he (Trump) handled or failed to handle it. The facts remain that President Obama’s policies demonstrate a resounding deference to Islam particularly where the Shiite sect is concerned and here are just a few examples:

Carried-Interest Acquires Favor

Governor Kasich suggests that “changing the incentives for investment and risk-taking” is akin to socialism while others assail elimination of this special treatment equivalent to a tax-increase which the GOP views as counter to republican orthodoxy.

Typically this tax-advantaged treatment occurs in the case of Fund Managers who receive, in the form of compensation, an equity share in the very fund(s) they manage. These “funds” distribute their gains (to their equity participants/investors) which are normally taxed at Long-Term Capital Gain rates. The Fund Manager’s claim is that since their compensation is in the form of an equity interest their distributed gain should be similarly taxed at the more favorable long-term capital gains rate; so far they’ve successfully defended this position using several scurrilous arguments, the primary one being similar to that offered by Gov. Kasich.
