The Reinvention of The Rich Lie!

I must confess, I’m confused; I’m looking forward in to a future that seemingly has no sound prospects and, frankly, the conversation that needs to be had, is barely a whisper!  Listening to the Poli-Cor-Speak of the non-economic versed politician, the dearth of coherent strategy is so completely absent,  I believe one could hear mollusk hiccup!

The economic conundrum that the U.S. finds itself has been years in the making and transcends the terms of Administrations of both Parties though the controller of the purse-strings, the U.S. Senate, has largely been Democratic Party controlled for much of the period of malfeasance and under whose supervision, the abuses are the forms most severe.  And, Mr. President, the U.S. is already bankrupt, financially, economically, industrial and political so don’t bother making the threat, it’s far too late!

Flat Earth Econ

February 6, 2009

One of the great thrills of writing these posting is that I get to exchange with you ideas that are crafted, largely, from spontaneous thoughts occurring in instances where I’m speaking in front of a group or I barking at the radio!

“Flat Earth Idolatry” (FEI)  is just one of the spontaneous thoughts!   I coined the word to capture the though of observed, by me of course,  instances were an event is being expressed as a “given” when in fact it is based on completely erroneous assumptions.  The kind of event that when one observes its occurrence you find yourself saying, “oh come one, who do they think they’re kidding!”

What I Look For

Among the many facets of the Real Estate Profession the one I enjoy the most is the People I’m privileged to represent.   For some reason, I’ve been blessed with an exceptional Client base that is as diverse as it is captivating!

As a Realtor,  I spend a great deal of time with Clients and get to know them,  ultimately,  on very intimate levels particularly those I represent in the “Buying” process.

Market to the Market

I,  like many Realtors,  find myself in a market environment that creates a great deal of anxiety for our Clients,  particularly our Listing (Seller) Clients.   I spend a great deal of focused energy reviewing and updated our individualize marketing campaigns to be sure that no only are we doing the necessary steps but more so,  are we hitting our target market!

I’ve been in the Real Estate Profession long enough to know some critical “do’s and don’ts”  however one area that I’ve become keenly aware of is what I call “Market to the Market”! More on that in a moment!

The Heart of a Home

The other day I met with an Elderly Woman who was referred to me by another Client.  It was a very simple phone call,  not one – frankly – I routinely get (i.e., simply and short),  but welcomed none the less.

Her voice was soft and pure and she simply said,  “…Mr. Greco,  I understand you’re the person to talk to about my home and I wonder if you would care to make time available and visit with me at my home.  I’ve a few important matters I would like to review with you.”   Her voice was soothing and elegant in it’s inflection and delivery and I found my self  responding with a equally placid tone, “…why yes of course….”!
