President Speaks in Shadows on Immigration Policy

Regardless of what the President has said during his prime-time address there are a few key points he ignores:

(1) Lawful immigration must be a national policy; it must not (ever) be a politically-driven harvesting operation.

(2) Presidential actions that create or further enhance the dysfunction of a National policy that is, by altering existing law, is NOT LAWFUL immigration.

(3) To equivocate, by selective recall, that somehow illegal immigration is the historical bedrock of a Nation of immigrants is patently deceptive and ignores the economic realities of a Nation already burdened with uncontrolled and un-recoverable social costs and rampant unemployment/underemployment across all spectrums of legal citizenry.

(4) To regulate by executive fiat and to allow the self-destruction of the legal doctrines of the law effectively demeans the entire system by creating a legal system applicable ONLY to those who have an economic risk of losing. The selective applicability of the Law MUST BE stopped. The argument that suggests that one can willfully break the law until such time that a law is passed that one favors is absurd at the surface and willfully destructive at its core.

It is true that Mr. Obama is not the first to selectively apply the law or selectively interpret his constitutional duty; never forget that every member of Congress, as well as the Judiciary, takes the very same oath; they are equally culpable.
