Israel: Two-State Moving Closer?

To better understand the importance of the President’s move to push forward with relocating the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem one needs to understand the history of Palestine particularly as it relates to the Israelites (historical geography and religious terms) and the historically temperamental role the British played, largely for preservative-economic reasons, in the mock-up of present-day Middle-East.

Today, oddly enough, much of the plenum-in-opposition to a two-state solution maintains the very same preservative-economic motives. Even if resting on the historical and religious arguments it’s quite difficult to substantively object to Israel’s right to a homeland securitized by International endorsement which is, by the way, no less the case for non-Jew’s/Arab’s and while the U.S. has, since 1948, supported and has come to represent the most conspicuous solution-advocate and, we should note, without the kinetic forces of other influential States.

Israel: Elections of Influence – Where there is no Recognized Boundaries, there are no Boarders of Prohibition!

Meddling in the election processes of a foreign country, on the surface, would seem to be a contemptible act particularly for champions of the democratic process; you know the sacred notion of the one-man-one-vote thing. To be sure, it is a sacred and sovereign right and so it seems a bit odd that given U.S. Government practices, most recently being the U.S. sponsored overthrow in Ukraine, the structured antics in Egypt, the current adventures in Venezuela and so on, throttles the forces that assert that the Presidents favoring of a Netanyahu replacement is somehow a breach of U.S. Policy.

The Politics of Foreign Policy: The Israeli Anchor-Part 5/6

Israel, as a State, is an absolute and it must remain so and, here again, for two primary reasons:

  1.  The historical relevance (as a foundation for) is a fact.
  2.  If there is ever to be a compelling opposition in favor of a balanced outcome, this State, where the Middle-East is concerned, offers the best of any possible options.

So long as the sectarian conflict remains the most viable option, as a fulcrum thru which normalization in the area is achieved, is not a Two State Solution. Instead, a Confederation of Mutual Governance, one that is completely dedicated to the preservation of the region, is the only hope for long-term stability. Presently the composition of disparate interest is the equivalent of a sectarian tail wagging the dog.
