Will Bergdahl knows Military Justice?

Good question however the answer is “no” and here’s why:

  1. The Bergdahl affair was a calculated attempt by the Obama Administration to put, as they refer, “points on the board” with the hope of showing some form of Foreign Policy success and to take public focus away from the many scandals.
  2. Obama never considered the fall-out of his actions specifically as it relates to the security risks (clearly a Foreign Policy pendulum) and the massive blow-back from the Military (and I don’t mean the paper pushing politically-attached military) who would have Bergdahl, and perhaps the President, tarred and feathered.
  3. One name, Chuck Hagel; the man has future plans and he’s not about to ignore a Presidential order silencing the outcome of any Military inquiry or exposes himself, John Kerry or the President to any meaningful consequence.

Although stated to be “sealed” the original inquiry (by the Military) has been leaked and clearly affirmed that Bergdahl had deserted and went so far as to suggest that he was likely offering assistance to the opposition; so why the need to re-investigate the matter if not intended as a means to redefine both the event and meter the consequence?

Prediction: Worse case? Bergdahl is deemed unfit to stand trial due to psychological effects of battle stress and enemy confinement; he receives a medical discharge with a cut in benefits. Best Case? Not one that approaches the concept of possible.
