Rubio

While Marco Rubio’s polish is on display and his temporary “bump” in opinion-polls levitates I continue to question, some 15 months before the GOP Convention, why the rush? Why the risk of inviting public-fatigue? Why, in a potential field of 20-plus, would a candidate preempt the coming flood?

I’ve never been a fan of active officeholders, specifically Senators & Congressmen/women, running for office. I continue to hold to the belief that Governors, or better yet, non-politicos are the best candidates for the highest office. Where Rubio is concerned, he thinks the Florida-strategy is to run a rabbit with hopes the hounds are kept occupied to a point of fatigue.

Like the Clintons, the Bush family feels entitled, believes they’re rightful heirs to the American Political Aristocracy and they’re strategy is to insure a GOP Nomination. Hence, run the well-polished Rubio up the flag-poll, allow the harridan Debbie Wasserman-Schultz to self-destruct and then, sometime third/fourth quarter 2015 Jeb-the-younger-Bush makes his push.

What then of Marco Rubio? Simple; he becomes Jeb’s VP running mate and bull-dawg and, perhaps, former Congressmen, Allen West, is appointed to serve out Rubio’s remaining Senatorial term. Let’s just hope that Gov. John Kasich (R-Oh) runs: he’s that good!
