“In Curtis Greco’s new book, you’ll find out why having the right to vote is just the beginning, and why organizations who promote voter education and engagement are so important for preserving the bedrock of what makes America great for generations to come.”

SOTU: The Last Hurrah!
Tonight, President Obama will take his final walk to the speaker’s podium; I expect that he will prescribe a nationwide antidote, his personal assessment of his seven years and the agenda for his last. He will take the opportunity to remind his opponents of their culpability, the nation of its flaws and the world of its dangers.
Meanwhile I’m thinking of two specific reference points: Denver, Co., Invesco Field, August 2008 and the other, President John F. Kennedy. I recall the euphoria and promise of both; Obama accepting the DNC’s nomination, the attendance so massive the event had to be moved from the smaller Pepsi Center. The intoxicating environment fueled by the hope of a people’s hunger; could this truly be the one who could lead a restorative campaign to revitalize a Nation and its representative process?

Obama’s True Legacy; the Untieable Knot
There will be a veritable cornucopia of commentary regarding the President’s legacy; some will find favor, many will not. Still with 14 or so months remaining there’s insufficient time and more likely no interest in altering the course. Like many Presidents before him each Administration recorded seminal moments forever altering the image of the Office, its scope and the consequence.

The 20 Trillion Dollar Man! Debt Ceiling Increase or Debt Limit Suspension?
Yes, President Obama will forever be known for doubling the public debt and so will Congress. The current Budget Deal may seem like, as the President says, “…how Congress should work” however, the truth is far more devastating.
Yes indeed, the current Budget Deal provides Federal Funding and it does so by eviscerating the Debt Ceiling mandate providing the U.S. Treasury unlimited borrowing capacity thru March of 2017. Considering the planned spending increases of nearly $160 Billion, not including Off-Book spending ventures and projected Budget Shortfalls, the simple math indicates debt increases for the advancing spending term to be in the 1.5-1.7 Trillion dollar range.

Pope Francis’ Obama’s Ally of Church & State!
Do you find it a bit ironic that while the President has championed various policy issues impugning the sanctity of faith he has no issue using the Church to advance his own political theology? Has the President now decided to abandon his secular theology, Neo-Ism of State that the Public has been told to believe is the hallmark of a sturdy and enduring democracy? Further, given that Pope Francis has seemingly set aside evangelizing “the word”, has he now become an emissary of Leftist-Activism?
