Trans Pacific Partnership; the Divesture Continues!

At a time when the On-Air dialogue centers on the deeply troubled U.S. Economy the Federal Government moves forward with the disembowelment process. The relentless pursuit of these wickedly destructive policies shows, on one hand, a perverse bias and on the other a total lack of understanding.

The bias is in favor of the multi-nationals while the lack of understanding being the manner in which the value (and the costs) of the American Marketplace is subjugated to interests that have no allegiance to it and the TPP expands the abuse to an entirely new level. Its three key components of abuse are as follows:

(1) It claims to be a “check” against the expanding influences of China and yet excludes this very nation (and S. Korea as well) which begs the following question: Is it an economic alliance or a developing NATOesque Alliance?

(2) The agreement includes provisions which accommodate Labor Immigration which bypass Federal Law. Do we really want to legalize a porous border?

(3) It establishes a Third-Party Dispute Resolution facility which is above and beyond the laws of the U.S. that would, in effect, immunize Multi-National’s from claims or disputes arising from the violation of domestic law/statute.

Yes, a failed product liability claim will be adjudicated by an off-shore third party! Yes, by all means, let the final divesture of U.S. Sovereignty continue! The U.S. economic condition and outlook is directly related to trade pacts orchestrated from a position of designated bias and a complete lack of understanding. Ironically, as the U.S. plunges further into economic anonymity, this Nation will be forced to rely on these mechanisms more and more.

Domestic strength has no need of gun-boat diplomacy or tools of desperation, but persists and defends itself on the strength of its capabilities where trade pacts, by their very nature, attempt to normalize disorder so that depravity is more efficiently achieved.
