Obama-Kerry Nuke Deal Opens Door for Russia

While Mr. Obama and his legion of supporters in Congress would have you believe that no Deal is the worst possible choice they continue to cold-shoulder the reality of consequence. Russia remains perplexed, if not completely mystified, by the Administrations pursuit of a Deal with Iran. They view the whole affair as simply another indication of Washington’s terminal dysfunction which effectively, by their actions, giving Putin a green-light to pursue interests in the Middle-East.

While Ukraine and Bulgaria (NATO participants) closed their airspace to Russian “humanitarian” flights into Syria, Putin received approval (airspace) from Iran and Iraq (yes, Iraq) for delivery of a half dozen T-90 tanks, 15 howitzers, 35 armored personnel carriers, 200 marines and portable housing. Yes, “humanitarian” aid (Arm-sales/export is a key revenue-generator for Russia) to Syria’s Assad Regime.

It may be, from a global predator perspective, a grand strategy to draw Russia in to the all-consuming resource-depleting black-hole of the Middle-East. Some, including myself, would agree that unless the age-old Sunni-Shiite battle is resolved it remains, factually, a completely unmanageable region. The Administrations perspective seems to be “an exit point at any cost even if the cost is unknown” is, on foundational terms alone, simply absurd.

To assert that the “Deal” was the only alternative to war ignores the fact that the Sunni-Shiite divide is a 1500 year old battle with no winner, only losers. To promote the advancement, by agreement, of a Militarized Radical-Theocracy defies history, reason and the inertial forces of natural predators. In the absence of an opposing force extremes have no prohibitions.
