Grasping at Flaws

America: The land of opportunity! We’ve heard it often enough and if one were to enumerate the various conflicts considering each as an opportunity then by all means we are an extremely affluent people submerged in a sea of abundance. As offered in a recent article, WiNiP – It’s Not About Jobs; It’s About Clarity, this affluence has rendered the American conscience afflicted with a severe form of congestive dysfunction in desperate search of a remedy: clarity.

“Clarity is the gift of revelation; the precision of grace when the narrative of ambiguity ceases to be a reliable source of information!

WiNiP – It’s Not About Jobs; It’s About Clarity

V01.12

What I Noticed in Passing….

I am recalling a visit to the circus circa 1977; old enough to be amazed by the skill level of the performers yet young enough to be overwhelmed by the activity; the center ring, two outer rings and the overhead trapeze. To my young mind it seemed congested and I couldn’t help thinking; why do they have to do this all at the same time? How’s a guy supposed to know what’s going on? It seems like there in a hurry to get it over with and move-in a new crowd of people! Now I know why they call it a Circus?

Romney: A Moot Trajectory

“A well-adjusted person is one who makes the same mistake twice without getting nervous.”- Alexander Hamilton

I’m lost, at the moment, in a whirling tempest; it seems as if I’m looking at a blender full of sludge seasoned with strips of paper each bearing the name of one of the current crop of GOP Candidates. As the goo whirls about in the clear-glass blender occasionally a strip of paper makes its appearance in the rotation. Who will it be; Huntsman, Santorum, Gingrich, Paul, Perry and a – what’s-his-name…oh yes, Romney? I’m not entirely sure the determining factors are faithful to a necessary outcome; in fact, it may be far more reasonable to presume that it may not be possible.

2012: Choices to be Made

Wouldn’t it be nice if…? I was musing over the potential of this seemingly quixotic phrase particularly as I was reviewing the events of this past year and I toyed with the idea: Wouldn’t it be nice if one were able to choose which events followed on to the New Year and by exclusion those which did not, along with their unresolved consequences, remain in the past; a sort of isolation ward. Wouldn’t it be nice?
