Retirement, Social Security & Shifting Paradigms

As Senator Warren (D-Ma) stumbles about the airwaves banking the growth in her political capital as the next great neo-progressive her mantra centers about the same flaw suffered by most that frequent academia or other reality-starved environs. Her perspective is shared by many of the politically anointed suggesting that the way to solve the country’s social and economic problems is, in a nut-shell, to spend more money. The truth of reality is much too painful for most, however the reality is that expecting an expanding harvest from a diminishing yield is only a temporary luxury in the era of simulated realities.

Arizona – The Forced Vengeance of Tolerant Ignorance (RFRA)

Passed by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by Bill Clinton, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) was created to set limits with respect to Government intrusion upon constitutionally protected freedoms. The U.S. Supreme Court (1996), in a rare defense of the 9th & 10th Amendments, ruled that the Federal RFRA could not be applied to state law and that states would have to adopt their own version; in 1999, Arizona – like many other states – did exactly that.

The current Arizona Bill (SB 1062) does nothing more than:

  1.  Define what entity can assert a defense should a discrimination claim be made

Ukraine: Why now?

A Nation in conflict is ripe for picking; carrion for the predatory opportunist. Having been a part of Russia for the better part of 200 years one would have to go back to the 14th Century to observe, scant as it was, an independent Ukraine. In 1990, yes, Russia did grant Ukraine it’s independence much as the Soviet Union granted Russia and its other provincial regions the very same status.

Putin’s Closing Olympic Message to America: Russia’s Not Your Problem!

Hints of Russia Sochi Olympics being the contemporary equivalent of Hitler’s 1936 Olympic Exhibition of Aryan supremacy seems a bit peculiar. Particularly given Bob Costas’ turgid bias that occasioned the NBC broadcasts; what an embarrassment and telling of a media bias that would do one Joseph Goebbels proud.

The question isn’t whether or not Russia is due a proper scolding but more so, given the rapacious appetite of U.S. leadership and its penchant for distortion (the truth being merely the cumulative body of lies no one dare question). The silencing of objection has been so effective that few seem to possess a foundation upon which the U.S.’s point of departure (from its fundamental ideals) can be identified.
