The Nexus of a Nuclear Iran

While the subject of nuclear talks with Iran becomes yet another geo-political skirmish we mustn’t lose sight of what’s at stake; what no “Deal” will adequately address. There is a reason why the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty was signed. There is a reason why one never empowers a deadly enemy. There is a reason why one never accommodates or sanctions tolerance for the carousel of error.

Sure, it is not possible, in the current era, to eradicate nuclear capabilities from Nations who currently possess it. To even attempt the idea, as a token gesture of faith or commitment, is merely to invite further imbalance. This issue is not a U.S. or even an Israeli security matter, it is one of far greater significance; it is a crisis of the human-spirit.

To allow or even entertain the idea of licensing the expansion of nuclear technology is unforgivable. To believe that the nuclear infrastructure of Iran, or any Nation that openly issues open threats, can be partitioned to that of non-threat status is absurd. To believe that Iran will self-impose and self-regulate a barrier in their territorial ambitions and paradoxical ideology is pure lunacy. ANY agreement that allows for the maintenance of ANY nuclear capability is, in effect, a tacit endorsement. In this case, to lift any economic sanctions is to enable the Iranian Islamic Regime to rapidly infuse capital into its expansive destabilizing capacity and force other regional powers to seek, if only as a deterrent, equal footing; this, is a certainty.

Lost in the closed-loop of U.S. media is one other important fact; no other Nation, including those at the negotiating table (save perhaps for Iran), endorses the Obama-Kerry deal with Iran. Though Russia, appearing ambivalent, does enjoy a benefit; the further weakening of U.S. status as an enduring and stabilizing force.
