Static Decline: It’s 1973!

While the current acrobatics relating to various foreign policy blunderings take center stage, two key reports, one from the BLS & the other by the U.S. Census Bureau, slipped quietly by the media-microbes. BLS reported that 20 percent of U.S. Families (16.127 mil) had no working/employed person; USCB reported that wages (2012 – $49k), adjusted for inflation, were below that of 1973 ($52k).

The simple explanation is this: It has become more profitable to do nothing (domestically) and while the internal hemorrhaging continues to be ignored the nation busies itself (only) with the reality of a select few. More on this topic in our next post.

Like Conflicts Alike

Pealing back the multiple layers of media-mucous we notice a striking similarity between the driving interests contesting the Ukraine. On one side you have the Russian Oligarchs on the other side you have the Western Plutocrats; each small, tightly-knit, group preying on the other in an attempt to save and enhance their respective power-base and each willing to toss their largely passive-submissive populations into the grinder of war.
