And Then There Where 7? Fair Trade On-Point!

The most important message to come out of Thursday night’s Republican debate waited until (near) the very end; the subject was Trade and how only one individual on that stage seemed to grasp the topic and provide a commanding response.

But first, a foundation: Trade should never be a political or politicized apparatus; when it is, it’s no longer Free-Trade but political-leverage. Economy (the concept of) is a national order however its durability/sustainability is purely local and for this reason Trade must support a National Economy precisely because it is built on local demand/capacity. The ONLY type of trade, occurring with another country can and is only domestically beneficial if it furthers the durability/sustainability of the domestic economy; end of story. (Side Bar: By the way, the concept of Comparative Advantage exists only in conceptual terms and not in practical reality.)

Wall Street Collapsing; Proof of Failure!

The Casino-at-Wall Street proves the depths of how seriously the U.S. Economy has been disemboweled; proof of the policy of economic detachment simulating a Greek Tragedy.

The real measure of economic viability is a Nations Re-Investment in itself; it drives productivity, it drives expansion, it drives development in education and technological advancement(s), it drives efficiency, it drives employment and it drives upward economic mobility while simultaneously reinforcing social stability none of which can be performed by Government intervention.

Elitist Desperation & Why You Should Be Livid!

A few years back, in one of my books, the following phrase appeared: “How can it be claimed that this country’s election process is free and open when the options made available are chosen by a selection process that is neither free nor open?”

Clearly, where the DNC is concerned and given that Democratic-committed voters have, at the present time, only a choice between damaged and dangerous, the case is closed and my observation proven. In the case of the Republicans the public has a front row seat to the game of anointing evidenced by the open-season maneuvering in opposition to anyone that dare challenge the power-centric gilding of the elite (Bush).

SOTU: The Last Hurrah!

Tonight, President Obama will take his final walk to the speaker’s podium; I expect that he will prescribe a nationwide antidote, his personal assessment of his seven years and the agenda for his last. He will take the opportunity to remind his opponents of their culpability, the nation of its flaws and the world of its dangers.

Meanwhile I’m thinking of two specific reference points: Denver, Co., Invesco Field, August 2008 and the other, President John F. Kennedy. I recall the euphoria and promise of both; Obama accepting the DNC’s nomination, the attendance so massive the event had to be moved from the smaller Pepsi Center. The intoxicating environment fueled by the hope of a people’s hunger; could this truly be the one who could lead a restorative campaign to revitalize a Nation and its representative process?
