At some point the US military is going to run out of targets. Prosecuting the war, I hope it’s fair to say, concludes with some form of an agreement, either as an outright surrender or some form of negotiated peace.
To my mind, having been (closely) monitoring Trump’s performance and contributing to the process by analytical means/contributions it’s clear to me that the President’s performance is an exhibition of mastery. To the informed it’s no longer simply a matter of trust, he demonstrated competency on a regular basis. If he has one weakness it is the influence which weighs upon him most: His sense of duty to the legacy of the Office he holds and the trust the American People afford him. To suggest he is the stooge of an Advisor, an Adversary or Foreign Interest should only be seen as the desperate antics of an Interest attempting to impose their own agenda or of the one their presence conceals.
The most conspicuous flaw I observe in groups who enjoy badgering the President is that they clearly do not understand the depth of his knowledge, his command of interpersonal relationships, the skills involved in effectively communicating a message capable of moving people from one side to another is a talent borne of seasoning and not something you learn at some Ivy League School. As a matter of fact this is a skill learned in the trenches where business is done, where goals are accomplished, where consequence is consequential, where the price is paid in person and not at the taxpayer trough. I’ve talked with many different people and different State Capacities and it’s clear they are amazed by the Presidents skillset. I’ve also had a few comments how they miss the Biden State Department, “…they were much easier to deal with, their arrogance made it easier to manipulate them into a favorable position. I think that Trump, if you’re not careful, can talk you into placing the noose around your neck.”
As the discussion regarding “negotiated peace” become a common topic I’m certain that each of the following points are worthy of consideration. Achieving a complete resolution will not be easy or will it be easily won however if there is to be a day when the American Public, and the rest of the world, can look back and admire the effort of the United States and Israel they will need to be dealt with. Now then, let’s move on and give consideration to the following:
1. First and foremost, I believe it critical to understand that we should not expect to have fair, frank and faithful negotiations with any form or residual component aligned with the Islamic regime of Iran. When you speak of “Regime Change” we must speak in terms of absolute in unequivocal terms.
2. Immediately, the Iranian Media Network needs to be reconstituted to include global news feeds with scheduled broadcasts provided by U.S. State Department. Including periodic broadcasts of Iranian’s expats from around the world who were forced out of Iran in 1979. Unrestricted Internet access to be restored.
3. It needs to be understood that Iran’s Islamic proxies whether it be Hezbollah, the Houthis or any relative aberration will remain in the Middle East and continue to be potential adversaries. Any resolution or attempt at restoring sanity to the governing body of Iran must address this issue.
4. As in the case of the aforementioned the Chinese and Russians will want to continue maintaining a relationship with the successor body governing Iran. The US will need to express disciplined forward thinking on how and in what form a State relationship is to be established with the new governing body of Iran.
5. I believe that the United States should consider annexing (or perhaps leasing) land located in southwest Iran; ideally with an existing air strip and seaport and located along the southwest coastal area below the Strait of Hormuz. The purpose of this condition would be to maintain visual awareness of U.S. and International Naval Presence including ground and special forces troops and support equipment.
6. Having studied Iranian history including both historical and contemporary I believe that it is in the best interest of the Iranian people that every effort be directed toward establishing an informal State Residency for the Son, Reza Pahlavi, of the Former Shah, perhaps under the flag of a Boards of Peace Member State. There are many factions in Iran that had been shut down or shut out by the corrupted Islamic State. Reza Pahlavi’s presence will offer a conciliatory theme to ensuring a unified force aimed at establishing a Democratic Iran.
7. The U.S. and Israel rightfully deserves to be seen as a positive force and given due regard for its role in this promising change to the complexion of the Middle East. I believe it critical that the US and Israel maintain a soft yet affirmative presence throughout the reconstruction and reorganization of Iran as it takes its proper place among The Family of Nations.
It should be expected that as the Military Targets of Opportunity are exhausted and a move towards a resolution becomes appropriate the U.S. should be on guard for signs of dubious intent from whatever remains of the Malevolent State. As more and more levels of the Islamic State fail negotiating with a representative component of the Iranian State is likely to become increasingly difficult regardless, tactics of deception and delay should be key indicators of Iranians customary practice of evasion. The U.S. should maintain fingers-on-the-trigger status with ready targets preemptively assigned in the event the remnants of the Islamic state need a consequential reminder.
Persian history is an absolutely magnificent legacy, a treasure that binds the Iranian people not only to a remarkable history but to how that history offers the promise of an amazing future to a free and sovereign people unimpeded by tyrannical rule. The People of Iran are owed, as well, the unalienable right of self-determination. Period.
To the American People, this is a remarkable time for you all to be face to face with the 250th year of this Nation’s own attempt at securing our individual and unalienable right of self-determination. To honor our own legacy and that of those who led the fight you must stand in support of the fight for freedom, to be freed from the tyrannical order of Evil.
Let’s pray that their Day is not far off!
