YOU NEED TO VOTE YOUR FUTURE!

Mid-term elections suffer from a chronic lack of voter turnout and, frankly, turn-out for Presidential cycles are not particularly stellar either. The declining performance of government is not so much a function of progressive momentum shifting cultural/social order but more so that so few show-up and cast their vote in opposition. So the system morphs into malaise and dysfunction not by preference or choice but by default. A Nation fails because no one seems sufficiently concerned to be busied with any element of care/conscience/duty; a painful thought is it not?

Divided Interests & The Common Ideal

“Lying in the midst of a conflict resides a dangerous flaw; what drives the contest itself represent a divided-interest adverse to a unifying force.”

Polarity is an interesting word in itself identify a presumption of divisiveness and yet I find this observation limiting and worthy of a closer look. Consider the more conventional distinction of positive and negative as merely opposites and yet, actually, that is not at all the case as one is simply the completion of the other; positive is the completion of the negative and the negative is the completion of the positive and when the process occurs as it should, balance exists.

WiNiP – It’s Not About Jobs; It’s About Clarity

V01.12

What I Noticed in Passing….

I am recalling a visit to the circus circa 1977; old enough to be amazed by the skill level of the performers yet young enough to be overwhelmed by the activity; the center ring, two outer rings and the overhead trapeze. To my young mind it seemed congested and I couldn’t help thinking; why do they have to do this all at the same time? How’s a guy supposed to know what’s going on? It seems like there in a hurry to get it over with and move-in a new crowd of people! Now I know why they call it a Circus?

2012: Choices to be Made

Wouldn’t it be nice if…? I was musing over the potential of this seemingly quixotic phrase particularly as I was reviewing the events of this past year and I toyed with the idea: Wouldn’t it be nice if one were able to choose which events followed on to the New Year and by exclusion those which did not, along with their unresolved consequences, remain in the past; a sort of isolation ward. Wouldn’t it be nice?
