Freedom isn’t possible if Liberty is ever-subject to conscription. The Ideals of Sovereign Rights being Unalienable is a very simple precept and one which is fundamental to the American Ideal. When an Individual is at risk to the incidental and rapacious impulse of unrestricted government than no Individual is Free, no Individual is at Liberty.
Man must be Free for Independence to be at Liberty to be Expressed!
True, no person is above the law but no law must be able to violate the unalienable right of an Individual regardless of the allegations pledge against them and this component of thought is integral to our faith in the American Ideal and among the many noble reasons this Nation’s Founders insisted on the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Amendments to the Constitution;to violate but one of these is to void the entire principle we hold dear. To drain the blood-line of our Ideals is to sever the bond to the “Creator” and our oath to one another.
You are the expresser of what is possible and so we must never tolerate barriers or impositions upon becoming, upon being, upon expressing the fullest potential of what is meant by “We hold these truths to be self-evident….” When the self-evident is expressed there are no boundaries, there are no limits to what we may achieve.
The American People need to come to grips with a resurgent force that, for whatever reason, is engaged in a hemispherical assault on the 4th Amendment and it is time for you to Express Your Influence and let your Representatives in Washington know where you Stand. The following information is sourced from Conservative Action Alerts, an online aggregator of topical information that is Constitution-Centered from deferential perspective. The website is a wonderful issue-source particularly on matters relating to the Bill of Rights. I believe the information is key to one’s establishment of a personal ballast; a broad range of informational narratives from as many perspectives as possible and from which an informed mind might compose an informed decision.
The Foundation has no political vice and though some may view the comments offered below through the lens of political venality I will simply say this: The test of this issues importance is quite simple; remove the prohibitions expressed by way of the 4thAmendment and then attempt to express the Freedom of Personal Liberty. “ – The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution–
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
A 5-4 Supreme Court decision has essentially STRIPPED Americans of their 4th Amendment rights AND dignity!
Florence v. Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Burlington declares that police officers can STRIP SEARCH anyone who is arrested, even if for a misdemeanor.
Justice Antonin Scalia lamented, “The federal government is not supposed to be a government that has all powers; it’s supposed to be a government of limited powers … What — what is left? If the government can do this, what, what else can it not do?”
The Fourth Amendment was written to protect us from police excess and police mistakes; but now, in this growing police state, our law enforcement agents BECOME THE LAW – and our Constitutional rights cease to exist.
RedState has already warned that, “[The Fourth Amendment] is bound to come under more pressure the larger the regulatory state grows.”
And we are seeing that happen!
• We have just learned that many U.S. police departments are using cell phone tracking to investigate cases or respond to emergencies, often without court orders.
• The Supreme Court ruled on Kentucky v. King that law enforcement have the authority to stage a search and seizure of Americans’ property without obtaining a warrant from a judge.
• And the Indiana State Supreme Court ruled in Barnes v. State of Indiana that police can enter a resident’s private property at any time – without a warrant, without suspicion, without reason – and without knocking and announcing their presence!
Quietly, without reporting from the mainstream media, without opposition from anyone in Congress, AMERICA IS BECOMING OBAMA’S POLICE STATE. On July 2, 2008 in Colorado Springs Colorado, candidate Barack Obama said, “We can no longer continue to rely on the military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve gotta have a civilian national security force that is just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded as our military.”
He seems to be working on that!
Consider the warning signs:
OPPOSING VIEWS BEING SILENCED. A Department of Homeland Security report entitled, “Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment” warns of “radical” groups like Christian cults, pro-life groups and returning military veterans. It names “hate groups” as those who are against gun control, immigration, gay marriage, or big government. In other words, a “hate group” is a group that dislikes the policies of Barack Obama. The IRS is also targeting Tea Party groups for audits. At what point will political dissenters be labeled “terrorists?”
AMERICAN CONCENTRATION CAMPS. HR 645, the National Emergency Centers Establishment Act, initiates the framework for mass-quarantine of American citizens. HR 645 calls for the creation of at least six national facilities for the concentration of civilian internees. Who are they planning to detain?
STABILITY POLICE FORCE. The George Soros-funded Rand Corporation issued a report calling for a Stability Police Force (SPF), saying “Establishing security with soldiers and police is critical because it is difficult to achieve other objectives – such as rebuilding political and economic systems – without it.” The United States will continue to experience major challenges in stability operations if it does not have this policing capacity. These challenges include creating the ability to establish basic law and order, as well as defeat or deter criminal organizations, terrorists, and insurgents.” Is this the beginning of the militarization of the United States?
STATE-LEVEL MILITARY ACTIVITIES. Obama signed an executive order establishing a Council of Governors, a panel of 10 state governors selected by the President who will review “review matters involving the National Guard; homeland defense; civil support; and synchronization and integration of state and federal military activities in the United States,” according to the White House. Has Obama now federalized the states and gained control of the National Guard?
GOVERNMENT AMASSING WEAPONS. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has just completed a contract for the receipt of 450 million rounds of hollow-point ammunition over a period of five years. Why does the DHS need 450 million bullets for a country of 300 million people?
INTERNATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT. Obama signed executive order 12425, giving the international police force INTERPOL immunity from American law. INTERPOL now has free reign in the United States, unencumbered by the Fourth Amendment, the Freedom of Information Act, American law enforcement agencies, and the U.S. Constitution. Obama has now given our sovereignty away to an international police force.
DRONES. Obama signed the the “FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012” into law on February 14, which allows for a broad expansion of drones over the United States. Right now, about 300 law enforcement agencies and “research” institutions have FAA licenses to use drones. Last June a North Dakota resident, Rodney Brossart, became the first American citizen to be arrested with the help of an unmanned Predator surveillance drone. Will they come for you next?
MARTIAL LAW. Obama signed the “National Defense Resources Preparedness” executive order, authorizing the federal government to identify “requirements for the full spectrum of emergencies, including essential military and civilian demand,” and to “control the general distribution of any material (including applicable services) in this civilian market.” Are we about to be under complete state control?
The Obama administration is systematically dismantling your Fourth Amendment rights:
• GPS tracking: Police have the ability to tap into your cell phone, smart phone, laptop and navigation device to track your every move, and they can do this without obtaining a warrant. Last year, the Justice Department argued that warrantless tracking is permitted because Americans enjoy no “reasonable expectation of privacy” in their– or at least their cell phones’ — whereabouts.
• Department of Homeland Security (DHS): The DHS recently released a series of terrorist-watch videos “See Something, Say Something” that effectively tell Americans to spy on each other. These video clips depict Americans as terror threats, and then advise citizens to report the behaviors of their fellow citizens.
• Transportation and Security Administration (TSA): Agents at airports across the country have harassed, groped and terrorized innocent Americans – including small children and the elderly – as they attempt to board airplanes. It is not uncommon to hear passengers complain of strip searches and humiliation, all without due cause.
• Social Media Spies: The Department of Homeland Security makes fake Twitter and Facebook profiles for the specific purpose of scanning these sites for “watch list” words. If you are tagged by DHS, they read your posts and dig into your account to find out who you are.
Kevin Holtsberry writes at RedState, “We have entered an Orwellian world where views on issues from spending and deficits to abortion and marriage – views held by large swaths of the American electorate – are not opposing viewpoints or different perspectives to be debated and/or refuted but “hate speech” that must be silenced and kept from even having an audience.”
Obama has shown a disdain for freedom and the Constitution, and he has implemented a series of executive orders that bypass our system of rights in this country. Every move he makes seems to be toward a government-controlled, emergency police state.
In Hitler’s Germany, they lost their constitutional democracy by a presidential decree. Can we expect Obama to do the same?
After all, ever since he took office, he has been appointing czars and using executive orders and decrees to bypass Congress and organize our laws however he wants. We are watching freedom vanish, one signature at a time.
Remember, we are always in a state of emergency according to Obama and that is why we must take drastic actions that destroy our freedom. Unfortunately, while Obama focuses on taunting those who disagree with him, inserting himself into made-up racial matters, forcing everyone to buy healthcare, placing burdensome global warming regulations on businesses and turning America into a police state, he is ignoring the REAL EMERGENCIES:
High gas prices, high unemployment rates … and our diminishing freedoms!
The REAL EMERGENCY is that the United States of America is seeing its democracy destroyed under Barack Obama. That is why we must act now to put a halt to this destruction!
