The Possibility of a Promise-Kept Remains

Regardless of the various faults we too frequently layer upon its design, the American Representative Constitutional Democracy is a thing of beauty. It’s ability to return to the Consenting Governed the possibility of a promise fulfilled is, in itself, a near perpetual promise-kept and one which must never be taken lightly; one which too few Nations afford their People.

The World watches the U.S. and once again stands still with amazement at how, despite our feeble appearance of shrewdness, we still manage to reveal to the world what may possibly be our single greatest attribute as a nation. Alexis de Tocqueville, a French political thinker and historian from the mid-1800’s, stated it best by way of the following two comments:

Lame Ducks Danger

Regardless of tomorrows election outcome there will be little in the form of penitence for those who will be forced to surrender their positions and little relief for the voting public. If Hillary wins the reason and cause for the publics contempt for Government will continue and deepen.

If Donald wins rest assured, he will face a system that though it claims to be representative of the Peoples Will, still remains tethered to vested interests who prefer they keep their place.

Israel’s Exposure to a Lame Duck President

There’s no mistaking the fact that a solution for the Palestinian/Israelites continues to be unachievable. U.S. Policy has long been on the side of a two-state solution – one that is created by the mutual consent and agreement of both parties – as opposed to a scheme that is crafted and enforced by external interests.

A Certain Future!

My first encounter with the Clintons dates all the way back to the days of Madison Guaranty, a failed Savings & Loan, and the Arkansas Redevelopment Agency;. It was clear then that this pair was an entirely new breed of miscreant; void of candor, integrity and shameless in their disregard for the public trust expected, by the public, of their elected officials.

Then, as now, their ability to overcome even the most basic in lapses of judgement to the most extreme is an avoidance of fate that no ordinary public official or private citizen would ever survive. Even more bizarre are the cases where people of normally sound judgement and intellectual capacity lose their powers of discernment notwithstanding the overwhelming body of facts; perhaps it’s a sort of Clinton Mystique-Induced Dementia.

AT&T & Time Warner; Dangerous Liaisons!

In a market-based economy business legacies are forced to survive on their merits. Not so in Capitalist environs where the siege of survival is based on the conquest of market control and not market efficiencies. The physiology of this is proven by one undeniable fact: Capitalists are, by nature, Monopolists because they loath the competitive dynamics of a market-based economic structure where the demand side (the Consumer) articulates success or failure of an enterprise based on their satisfaction. The Monopolists (side) dictates survivability based solely on the choices they choose (including pricing) to make available.
