Shades of Grey

July 15, 2009

“Potent shades of grey cover the brilliant pallet once the colored fabric of the dynamic light of mind.”

Isn’t that a truly lovely, rhythmic, driving pearl?  By God, yes it is!  It is also an unfortunate rhythmic truth!

Contrast is the stuff of life! It fuels the dynamic distinctions that give life to reality without which there would be none!

I deliberately crafted these words in such a way to paint a picture of what happens in the absence of conviction, deliberate conviction.  In the regiment of life were purpose becomes absent, camouflaged by the illusions of contrasting intentions, crafted in such ways as to divert ones attention.

The human mind is not designed to hold multiple focus point of conscience thoughts or actions.  Accordingly, when the vigilance of conscience is not a point of focus then, it follows, one must then be focused on some “thing” else.   When one is focused on some “thing” else, then that which no longer captures ones focus is now left to linger, waiting for to be recaptured.

The greater challenge is this:  where is “it” when one is no longer focused upon “it” and will “it” be there in the same form and function as “it” was when we left “it”.

We know the answer to this of course and the answer is “IT” never remains static, “IT” changes and morphs to whatever or in whatever direction “IT” is directed by those or that which alters “ITs” direction in your absence.

Whether it be relationships, work, tending a garden, personal fitness (of all types) or your National Political forum (focus).  There is no such notion, in my opinion, that gives truth or foundation to the idea of “…that which tends to stay in action tends to stay in action and that which tends to stay at rest, stays at rest.”  There is only progression or regression. Such is the constant nature of Contrast!

The point of all this is to begin to lay some groundwork for a revolutionary discussion, one that I believe needs to be had. One that is long over due. One that is the archetypical manifestation of what happens when The People are driven away from a common and beneficial ideal “camouflaged by the illusions of contrasting intentions.” Namely, Party Politics.

If I where to be asked for my opinion as to the single greatest source for the reason this Country is in such dire and so treacherous a circumstances, it would be two words:  Party Politics.

I reminded of the wheel of a bicycle.  A rim of spokes (People) tied to the center hub (Focus) that in complete and balanced form, represent the perfect expression of the imagined idea we know as a wheel (Representative Government/Democracy).

No where in the Constitution, The Declaration of Independence or any of the historically supportive documents (e.g., The Federalist Papers) is there any mandate that supports the contrived notion of Party.  In fact,  in Federalist Papers #10,  James Madison expressly, as seen in the following excerpt,  directs a specific prohibition toward Partisan (Party) Politics. “AMONG the numerous advantages promised by a well constructed Union, none deserves to be more accurately developed than its tendency to break and control the violence of faction.”

To persist with the divisiveness of Party Politics is, in effect, to surrender the Ideals of Representative Government for the actions of one dominant Party summarily dispenses with the ambition of Good and Sound Governance. How? Simply and most succinctly, the notion prevents the surfacing of opinions that may likely move the cause of Good Governance further from and not toward the Ideal beneficial to all.

Or, as I might better say it:

“We, The People, are forever labored by the unknown good intrusive Government silences!”

The time has come for us to make and take a “Stand 4” Good & Sound Government.  Asserting the rights of one over the inalienable rights of another, MUST STOP!  Taking the Rights of another, for the Benefit of any, is NOT Good & Sound Government!

What are you prepared to “Stand 4”?

Where is your Focus?

We’re quickly running out of time!

“Shade of grey conceal the light of brilliance as none no longer value the contrast of color!”
