The Necessity of Civilian Defiance – The Dreaded Gyrocopter!

Doug Hughes, a Florida Postal worker, landed what has been described as a “flying lawn chair powered by a small motor-driven propeller” on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol. In his words; “I flew here because it was the only way I could come up with for the average person to be able to fight against billions of dollars of special-interest money that dominate this city,…it is a ‘necessity’ defense.”

Trump; Attack of the Lesions!

Amazing how the refuse circles to defend itself against the impact of a statement based on fact. Anyone who knows John McCain’s history is well aware that his combat performance was mediocre at best and his command leadership was no better. Horrific as the POW experience is there were thousands more who appropriately distinguished themselves, prisoner or not, as worthy of beings honored as a Vietnam War Hero and still remain anonymous.

Lone Wolf; another Iconic Illusion!

With each crisis comes the invitation for further expansion of Government powers. Despite the known fact that each of the 9/11 terrorists where known to security agencies we were still rewarded with the Patriot Act and DHS and their various iterations. I-Ran & Won!

Even if Congress musters the capability to Veto-Proof the Presidents Iranian Nuclear Deal there is nothing to keep the President from acting despite Congressional objections. Given the President’s propensity for bypassing the various protocols of power and the desires of the other participants to re-establish economic ties with Iran, the urge to proceed will likely prove that this refuse will not be contained.

What the President has done, not unlike his other policy failures, is to present his successor with unmanageable chaos. In the case of the Middle-East, the Iranian Deal will only serve to expand the scope of dysfunction.

Iran – A Troubling Future

Evaluating politicized outcomes requires a rather peculiar approach. Whereas (normally) one would evaluate an outcome based on a comparison with “best possible” ideals this is not the case with government policy. It’s always the least invasive paired with highest optics factor at play and the lowest possible common denominator mated with the least likely to be sustainable.
