Unlocking Bill!

The Nation is now safe!  Hooorah! The Congress passed and the President is expected to sign “The Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act.”  You have been emancipated; you are now (or shortly will be) free to, ah…well, unlock your cellphone. Don’t get much better than that!

Dinesh D’Souza; not on Film

I marvel at the media blackout over D’Souza’s film, “America: Imagine the World Without Her.” Asking myself; what could be wrong with this messenger and his affirming message? Understanding the defense posture of a failing state the question isn’t whether one should watch the film but rather what is the undertoe of the message that warrants so caustic a response by/from the statists.

Border Wars; an Internal Struggle

While the political-media would brow-beat your mind with the inhumanity of the southern border they effectively cloud a far greater issue; is it an Immigration Policy issue or is it a Security Crisis? Are we a nation that refuses to defend itself? Is the strength of a Nation defined by its nuclear/conventional or the continuity of its internal bond?

Constitutional Reprieve?

The closing term of the High Court brought about a body of decisions which have revived the hearts of constitutionalists while sending the secular-progressives into a state of malignant candor. None-the-less the greater question, that of a constitutional premise, is still largely ignored or at the very least completely un-resolved.

In its simplest terms I believe that, as to the American form of Constitutionally Mandated Limited Government, it boils down to the simplest filter of all; imposition and the eternal conflict between governance and the extent to which the weapon of government is used to impose upon one the will of another.

Stopping A Lawless President

For a Constitutional Republic to work as intended there must be equity, as to standing, between the various branches of government. Many Americans wonder if it is possible to restore balance and function to our national government and we’ve written extensively on the subject and offered numerous methods.
However I’ve never considered the idea of Congress actually suing another Branch for breach; the idea offers intriguing possibilities and George Will’s article (the link is below) discusses the issue in specific and provocative terms. Although the idea may need to wait until a Republican holds the Oval Office, the merits of the plan are supremely encouraging. I heartily recommend that you read it and spread the link around to your spheres of influence.
