“In Curtis Greco’s new book, you’ll find out why having the right to vote is just the beginning, and why organizations who promote voter education and engagement are so important for preserving the bedrock of what makes America great for generations to come.”

Senate Arm Services Committee: White House “Policy of Disengagement” Exposed
This past Tuesday, three retired Generals, Marine General Jim Mattis, Navy Admiral William Fallon and a former CentCom Chief and former Army Vice Chief of Staff General John Keane, expressed the expanding security risk as a consequence of the Administration’s “strategy-free” stance.
General Keane’s statements left little doubt that were it not for Mr. Obama pulling troops out of Iraq the war against the insurgents was in hand. The Administrations idiotic notion of the “Arab Spring”, paired with the abandonment of Libya’s pro-western regime, ISIS would never have evolved into the threat it has become.

ISIS: Shaping Public Ire
It is well known that President Obama isn’t a hawk and though some may claim he boarders on cowardice it’s doubtful that this notion ever enters his thought process. I agree with the stance of Rand Paul to the extent that the question of U.S. involvement in the Middle-East is one of “American Interest”, particularly in terms of economic or energy reasons and that our focus should be on issues here at home. Paul fails the facts likely due to the fact that he fears describing the driving forces as the political apparatus will feed upon him and destroy his presidential ambitions.

A Presidential Device – Affirming Enduring Conflict
It should come as no surprise that the Government’s strategy, as formally expressed by the President via his primetime address, consists of Expanding Tactical Airstrikes, Arming Insurgents, Tactical Counter-Terrorism & Humanitarian Aid. However, I query, whether as a formal statement of strategy or policy, when hasn’t this been the Gov’ts practice?
In President Obama’s case however there is a significant point to be made and considered; he is quite at ease making speeches and provocative hyperbole, but his challenge is in the area of delivery and in the area of what is now conveniently known as “optics.” Given that Mr. Obama, more and more, exhibits the unmistakable air of indifferent-unwillingness it is more likely that all of this ISIS ballyhoo is nothing more than a Presidential device for addressing his miserable poll numbers and their weight on Democrats at-risk in the upcoming mid-terms.
