“In Curtis Greco’s new book, you’ll find out why having the right to vote is just the beginning, and why organizations who promote voter education and engagement are so important for preserving the bedrock of what makes America great for generations to come.”

WiNiP – The Optimist v4.10a
“The march is on, oblivion! The shapeless void has no boundaries, formless as it is, still marks its destination. The call it chides, the ranks they file below the pennant as they reply, too few object. In solitude, one voice can seem as silence, when none are left to listen.”
Curious and interesting bit of prose!
This past week I was at a small gathering, a nice group of folks and most came to join in the conversation, one individual had a copy of We Hold These Truths in her hand and ask me if I would sign it – I don’t think I’ll ever get used to it, I find myself looking around thinking, “Maybe she means someone else!” And then she points to the name on the cover and say, “…isn’t that you?” Well,…ah, why yes, I guess it is!

The Policy of Conflict
This past week has seen the replay of strategic politicking in a seemingly endless array of instances. The strategy is the same, universally applied, with a universally anticipated outcome. Whether it be Health Care, Financial Reform, Banking Reform, Jobs Bills, Economic Reform, States Rights, States Financial Quagmire, various Political Abuses/Indiscretions and so on.

The Waive of Conflict
In the practice of our daily lives we set about engaging in the myriad of task that define what becomes of our lives. We greet the day with a sense of purpose built upon a foundation, a personal commitment to a certain and specific outcome and we quietly and inconspicuously go about applying ourselves to its fulfillment. For the most part, these pursuits are noble.

Tea Party: The Next Great Conquest! Part II
The miss-reading of the American Political Tide, as its torment grows, is to believe that American’s are Centrists and that some how those who do not align with the political caste system of Democrat or Republican are defined as or become “middle of the road” as to their political will and of course, nothing can be further from the truth! No, these People “swing” as they do only because they attempt to align themselves more toward “the possibility of representation” largely because they know that there is no true choice as an alternative. They are, in fact, in search of representation. How many times have you found yourself or heard of another saying, “…I’m selecting the lesser of two evils?” As I ponder this resolution, I must say I find it to be the most reprehensible aspect of American Political Realities!

Recourse for Failure?
“The passage of time records both action and consequence bearing witness to their frequent reoccurrence.” That’s a twister worth playing with from time to time!
An interesting event occurred this past Saturday, I was at my office working on transcripts of my journal entries when the phone rang. The caller had managed to, as she put it, “…track me down…”, seems as though she wanted to see if it was possible to speak with a person who would “…write such a book!”
