Affirming Independence

 

Americans the world over know of July 4th, 1776.  Historians argue over whether the actual day should be July 2nd or August 2nd of 1776 however I’ll suggest that whatever the date, it was a day in the making since Mans first appearance upon this lovely sphere God himself purposefully divined as an extension of his deliberate intention.

Supreme Indiscretions – Kagan

This past week I registered my observations relating to the Supreme Court nomination process largely recounting historical precedence as it relates to the philosophical and functional mandate of the Supreme Court. (see; “Kagan – Silence, Nomination & The Supreme Court”) Even more so, the ultimate filter being that which one must consider when viewed through the lens of this Nations founding principals and ideals.

Dr. Paul Krugman – Theory & Lustre Lost!

The following entry is actually a posting a placed in response to Dr. Krugman’s NYT artical entitle “Against the Super-Asinine….”  I thought it was sufficiently relevant that I believe you might find it of value too – so here it is:

 

“Dr. Paul,  the only consensus in “macro” is the incongruent thought equal to the belief that one can find clarity in murky and whimsical waters.

 

As we’ve talked before, Keynesian Theory is sustainable only within the enclave of protected habitat.  In the real world, where true and “native” economy actually occurs, it is wrought with conflict and divided interests.  Here are a few examples:

What I Noticed in Passing….

 

Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s entry:

 

slave: \slāv\- 1 : a person held in servitude as the chattel of another. 2 : one that is completely subservient to a dominating influence.

 

I suspect one might think this to be a rather peculiar approach to introducing a topic, wrought with divisive overtones, lurid and “hands-off”!  Sit and pause for moment, look at your nation’s political and economic landscape and then, just perhaps, reconsider.
