You Have to Want to Know

Behind the Scenes

Many expected the G8 Summit (held in Ireland this past June) to be a relatively unremarkable event and by enlarge it was. Although, from a foreign policy perspective, the policy battle (U.S. vs Russia/China) over competing interests is no secret unless of course you rely on Western Media as a data source and while Vladimir Putin did his best to set the Russian-record straight tracing a reliable reporting source remains nearly impossible, at least until now. More on this in a moment.

Middle-East Policy Overload

“The Nation, which indulges towards another an habitual hatred, or an habitual fondness, is in some degree a slave. It is a slave to its animosity or to its affection, either of which is sufficient to lead it astray from its duty and its interest.”
– George Washington, Farewell Address –

Yes indeed we have become a “slave” to our national leadership long “astray form its duty and its interest.” I am more convinced then ever before of the truth of it and well past the time for Americans to reconsider the posture which continues to drive this Nation into every-expanding global conflict; in fact I believe it is critical to a far greater issue: The survivability of the American Ideal.

Governing of a Government

Over the past few weeks I’ve been meeting a fairly steady demand for On Air analytical-commentary. Seems the Middle-East miss-adventures are beginning to stir the public conscience and by well it should. George Washington’s Farewell Address is a pretty darn good read if one is interested in the clarity of a near apostolic form of vision particularly on the subject of foreign entanglements and their affects upon domestic preferences.

WiNiP – The Rise of Willing Failure v2.11

What I Noticed in Passing….

Recently I’ve come under attack for my commentaries relating to what I observe as the core issue of this nations great divide. Yes, I believe the core issue is Our interpretation of this notion we call Freedom and how and in what way we express it through the mechanisms of Liberty.  We might (even) explain the point in this way:

“The Ideal of Freedom is brought to Life through the manner in which we believe we are at Liberty to do so.  The greater ones sacred notion of Freedom, the greater ones desire to preserve the Liberty to express Freedom.”

Failure and Why!

January 1, 2009

January 20th will mark the first official day of the new Administration.   There is a great deal of hope saturating the nuance-of-the-day-term “Change”.   Several million people switched party lines and even more ignored reason, principal and purpose on this nebulous concept.   It’s not the first time, either!

I’ve ceded my hope that someone would be able to crystallize the substantive reason(s) for the near puerile form of euphoria we are witnessing and I’ve replaced it with another form of inquiry.  It, the inquiry,  is both a statement and a question:  Failure and Why!
